[origin: DE19928482A1] The sensor determines an angle based on a sinusoidal (Usin) and a cosinusoidal signal (Ucos) associated with the angle. The method involves determining the sinusoidal and cosinusoidal signals for at least three different angles to produce at least three corresp. pairs of values, representing the pairs of values in an at least 2D co-ordinate system and determining a point representing the offset to be compensated in the co-ordinate system, relative to which the value pairs lie on a circle.
