Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0011698A1] The invention relates to a fuse unit, especially for low-voltage, high-capacity circuit breakers, whose operational fuse element (1) is controlled by an indicator-fuse element (3) which is mounted in parallel and tenses and retains a spring element (4) upstream from a main plate (5). Said spring element is linked to a signal element (7) which is moveably guided along the body (6) of the fuse unit. The signal element (7) clearly indicates the operational status of the operational fuse element in a visible area (8) when said indicator-fuse element is called upon to respond. The signal element (7) is guided in the form of a sheet which is narrower in a transition area (11) with the spring element than in the visible area (12) and which tapers into a pointed tip, in a head area (13) that is to be fixed to the spring element (4), whereby the initial width of the head area (13) is larger than the width of the through-opening (14) in the main plate (5).
