The construction system for a table comprises cross-bars (1) connected to longitudinal bars (2) and tubular legs (5). The connection consists of a U-profiled section or insert (3) which forms a support for the table top (7). The outer edge of each longitudinal bar forms a T-shaped rail (9). The end (12) of the cross-bar is hooked upwards and fits into a groove at the bottom on the inner side of the rail. A clamp (13) which has downwardly hooked section (14) fits into a groove at the top on the inner side of the rail. The clip is fastened to the insert by a bolt (15).

Ein Konstruktionssystem für Tischmöbel umfaßt Quergestelle (1) mit Verbindungseinrichtungen, die in selektiver Weise entlang von seitlichen rohrförmigen Längsträgern (2) befestigbar sind. Jedes Quergestell (1) ist durch einen hohlen Querträger (3-4), der an seinen Enden die Verbindungseinrichtungen mit den Längsträgern aufweist, und durch rohrförmige Füße (5) gebildet, die Einrichtungen zur Höheneinstellung und Einrichtungen zur Verbindung mit dem Querträger (3-4) aufweisen. Der Querträger (3,4) ist durch die Verbindung eines U-förmigen Profils oder einer Wange (3) mit einem umgekehrt U-förmigen Profil oder Einsatzstück (4) gebildet, das an seinen Enden verschlossen ist. Die Wange (3) weist an ihren Enden einen Teil der Verbindungseinrichtungen mit den Längsträgern (2) sowie in ihrem Boden Öffnungen (6) mit einem Umriß auf, der reziprok zum Umfang des horizontalen Querschnitts der Füße (5) ist. Das Einsatzstück (4) nimmt Verbindungseinrichtungen zur Verbindung mit den Füßen (5) auf und bildet eine Halterung für eine Tischplatte (7). <IMAGE>
