[origin: EP1106120A1] The display column (1) has four rectangular shaped sides (3,4), which are fitted with three rows (6), each comprising four holes (7). The watch (8) is attached to an untearable string (17) with a small cylindrical weight (18) joined to its end, which is guided throgh the hole (7), around a return element (16), and kept in position by an inner plate (27), located parallel to the side wall (3,4). The inner plate (27) is also fitted with holes (28) and can be vertically moved in order to reduce the size of the holes (7) after the insertion of the weight (18) and watch (8) carrying string (17). If the string (17) is deliberately torn or cut, the weight (18) drops into a small drawer (11), causing a sound which indicates the attempted theft to the personnel.
