Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1106173A2] Abrasive for cosmetic formulations, especially skin cleansers, which may contain surfactants, soap or other emulsifiers, organic solvent or oils and optionally thickener, builder, refatting agent, perfume, preservative, colorant and oxidant, is bleached, natural corn cob flour. Independent claims are also included for: (a) the production of the abrasive; (b) a process for bleaching natural material in the production of abrasive for cosmetic purposes; (c) cosmetic formulations, especially hand washes and cleansers, containing the abrasive.
