Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1106265A2] The method involves using addresses from a database, placing the items in envelopes and dispatching them to the postal service. At least one data field of the address of a single item of the mass mailing is detected and a machine-readable coded information item is attached before dispatching the mass mailing to the postal service. Recognition is improved by comparing with logical records from the address database and any errors corrected. Independent claims are also included for the following: an enveloping device for mass mailings.
