[origin: EP1106277A2] Two container halves (2,3) of approx. the same size are fabricated in a forming process, and are thermally processed after the forming stage. Edges (6,7) around the openings of both halves project at approx. 90 degrees . In a second stage, the edges and a seal unit (8) are formed in a non-thermal process to create a peripheral folded seam connection, for sealed connection of the two container halves. The halves are formed from non-corrosive materials, or have such a coating.
