[origin: EP1106742A2] The mineral fibre panel (2) includes a fibre layer (5) beneath the cover layer (3), in which the fibres are oriented parallel to the panel surface (4), this orientation being retained under pressure. In an area of the panel beneath this fibre layer there are fibres (6) oriented at right angles to the panel surface, this orientation also being retained under pressure. Cavities (7) filled with cover layer material extend through the fibre layer into these regions containing perpendicular-oriented fibres. The board (1) comprises a mineral fibre panel, preferably comprising rockwool material, joined to at least one cover layer comprising an essentially liquid or pasty, curable material such as a plastic or hydraulic binder (e.g. concrete). Cavities provided in the top side of the panel are filled with the cover layer material.
