[origin: EP1106813A2] The method involves determining the instantaneous mass flow (mdotist) of the gas mixture using an algorithm in a controller, whereby a set of lines dependent on the venting valve drive time is defined by gradients dependent on the suction pipe vacuum (dps) and offset values dependent on the suction pipe vacuum and multiplied by the drive frequency and the maximum mass flow (mdotmax).
