Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1106837A1] The housing for a ventilator has an annular turbine (25) with vanes (26), driven by a motor (28). The turbine has a volute housing (20) defining an air outlet passage. The volute has an internal wall (35) with a radius having an exponential angular increase defined by a given formula. This uses the dimensions of the inner wall radius and an expansion constant with a defined range of values.
