Abstract (en)
The elliptical vehicle headlamp has a light source, a recovering and concentrating mirror (10,12) for creating a light concentration spot, and a lens adapted to project this concentrated light on the road for forming a light beam. There is a mask (20) interposed between the mirror and the lens for occulting a part of the light concentration spot. There are mounting supports (30) for the lens on the mirror (10) in two possible positions, these positions determined by the mask.

Un projecteur de croisement du genre elliptique pour véhicule automobile comprend une source, un miroir récupérateur et concentrateur (10, 12) apte à créer en avant de la source une tache de concentration lumineuse, et une lentille apte à projeter cette tache lumineuse sur la route pour former un faisceau d'éclairage. Il comprend également un cache (20) choisi parmi au moins deux caches possibles et interposé entre le miroir et la lentille pour occulter une partie de la tache lumineuse et conférer au faisceau une coupure. Il est prévu selon l'invention des moyens de montage d'un support (30) de la lentille sur le miroir (10) dans l'une parmi au moins deux positions possibles, ladite position étant déterminée par le cache. Application notamment à la réalisation de faisceaux de croisement pour trafic à gauche et trafic à droite, avec zones de concentration lumineuse appropriées. <IMAGE>
