The method includes the steps of modelling a light beam from an optical projector having a luminous source (S), a receiving and concentration mirror (M) and a lens (L). The next step includes identifying, in the beam, the glare component, and by analysing the inverse trajectory of the light rays taking part in the glare part, determining the zone (ZM1, ZM2,ZM3) of the mirror by which these rays are reflected, and determining, on a mask surface (GR), the zones which are homologous with the zones of the mirror, and making masking elements for occupying the zones to be masked on this mask surface.

Le procédé selon l'invention comprend les étapes consistant à : modéliser un faisceau lumineux engendré par un ensemble optique du projecteur comprenant une source lumineuse (S), un miroir récupérateur et concentrateur (M) et une lentille (L), identifier dans le faisceau lumineux modélisé la partie éblouissante à atténuer ou occulter, par analyse de trajets inverses des rayons lumineux participant à ladite partie éblouissante, déterminer au moins une zone (ZM1, ZM2, ZM3) du miroir par laquelle ces rayons lumineux sont réfléchis, et déterminer, sur une surface de masque (GR), la ou les zones qui sont homologues de la ou des zones du miroir, et réaliser un ou plusieurs éléments de masquage aptes à occuper la ou les zones de masque sur ladite surface de masque. Application notamment à la réalisation d'un « cache vacancier » pour projecteur du genre elliptique. <IMAGE>
