Abstract (en)
Apparatus for changing the size of the casting strand in a continuous casting plant comprises an adjusting device equipped with positioning or power regulation devices. An Independent claim is also included for a process for changing the size of the casting strand in a continuous casting plant. Preferred Features: The casting strand is adjusted to a length of 1-4 m at the start and adjusted to a length of 0.5-2 m at its end.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Formatdickenänderung des Gußstragens (9) einer Stranggießanlage im kontinuierlichen Gießbetrieb, wobei der Strang unterhalb einer Kokille (10) zu beiden Seiten mit einander gegenüberliegenden Rollenträgern (8, 8') in Wirkverbindung steht. Die Rollenträger sind in einer Folge von rollentragenden, ggfs. mittels Gelenkverbindung (5-7) aneinandergekoppelten Segmenten (n = 1 bis i) aufgeteilt und jedes Segment ist für sich in einen Winkel zum Gußstrang (9) einstellbar, wobei in einer Ausgangsposition die gesamte zu ändernde Strangführung auf eine gleichmäßige Produktionsformatdicke eingestellt ist. Zur Formatdickenänderung wird eine geregelte Folge von Verstellschritten der Segmente vorgenommen: bei einer Formatdickenreduktion erfolgt in Gießrichtung ein sequentielles Zufahren der einander in Reihe folgenden Segmente ggfs. an deren Gelenkverbindung (5-7), und bei einer Formatdickenerhöhung erfolgt ein sequentielles Erweitern in Gießrichtung der einander in Reihe folgenden Segmente ggfs. an deren Gelenkverbindung (5-7). Bei der Formatdickenänderung wird jeweils eine Übergangslänge der Dickenänderung erzeugt, die wenigstens 50%, bevorzugt 80 bis 90% einer Brammenlänge beträgt. Die Erfindung betrifft auch eine Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens. <IMAGE>
