Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1108814A1] Softening lotion is atomised and sprayed at ambient temperature onto an absorbent paper-like product. The lotion is an emulsion of emollient(s) dispersed in a volatile liquid. The lotion is atomised with gas so some of the liquid evaporates and droplets containing lotion and residual liquid contact the product. An Independent claim is included for the following: (a) A paper-like product treated as above contains ≥ 1.5 g/m<2> and preferably 2 g/m<2> of lotion. Preferred Features: The gas is air pressurised at ≥ 4 bar. The liquid is water and contains 1 - 50% and preferably 20 - 50% emollient.
