Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1108822A1] The pumping station has a holding tank (4) for solids-containing waste water, a holding tank for partially cleaned waste water, and a pump (6) to drain the second tank via the first one. The first holding tank contains a grading screen (9), e.g. a horizontal or a curved screen, to keep the solids away from the pump. It divides the first holding tank in longitudinal direction into a section (4a) containing water with solids, and a section (4b) for solids-free water. The second section is connected to the pump via a bypass (5). The water holding tank and a shaft (1) containing the pumping station, are pref. of plastic.
