[origin: EP1108853A2] The apparatus for measuring a borehole in the ground has an entry point on the ground surface and a foot point at its lower end. It uses a drivable drill bar (16) formed tubularly, a guide (15) for the bar, with a deepest clamping point (20) near the entry point (17). A drill crown (19) is fitted at the front end of the bar. A first inclinometer (21) measures an inclination angle (a) and is arranged behind the drill crown inn the drill bar and a second inclinometer (22) measures an inclination angle (alpha k) and is arranged above the bar guide. A device is provided for measuring the length (l) of the drill bar extending away from the guide. A further device marks a predetermined rotary position of the drill bar in relation to a reference direction.
