Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19839044A1] The invention relates to an electric heating device for heating a fluid, especially an air current, comprising a supporting device configured for accommodating a heating spiral. The inventive heating device comprises a plurality of support elements which can be axially joined to one another to produce at least one continuous, axially extending flow channel for the fluid. The inventive heating device also comprises an electric temperature probe which is provided on the outlet side and whose supply lines are led to a connecting module that is situated on an inlet side and arranged on the heating device. The connecting module which can be connected to control electronics supports an electronic memory module that is individually assigned to the heating device. Said memory module is configured for the non-volatile storage of individual measured and test values of the heating device, including storage of an individual test value of the temperature probe at a working temperature.
