Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1110612A2] A pipette has clamping jaws (16) arranged on a piston holding device (13). The tip of the pipette can be inserted through the clamping jaws when the jaws are opened without or with only marginal contact of the piston head (8). The jaws can be laterally adjusted after the tip is placed on the piston head. Preferred Features: The adjusting movement of the jaws is tilted on the piston head in such a way that it has an essentially tangential component and the end position of the adjusting movement of the jaws on the piston head lies just before the dead point up to each side of the dead point.
