Abstract (en)
A continuous supply of aligned slider devices (56) is provided by removably mounting slider devices on an elongate, flexible continuous carrier tape (60). The slider devices are mounted onto the carrier tape by adhesive or mechanical means, including a depression in the carrier tape adapted to hold the slider device. Further, the carrier tape can include a ratcheting structure such as a plurality of apertures, teeth, or the like, which can be used to position the carrier tape as desired. The carrier tape having the slider devices thereon can be wound on a core to provide a spool (55). The supply of slider devices on the carrier tape supplies slider devices to a slider applicator station (15) that mounts the slider devices onto a zipper closure construction. <IMAGE>
