[origin: EP1110877A1] The pack (15) is made from a continuous synthetic film layer folded to form two parallel walls with an inner fold along one of them, and transverse welds to join the walls and folds. The layer is cut beyond the folds to make separate bags, with strips (2, 3) of synthetic film welded into the folds to make carrying handles. The strips are inserted parallel to one another into the folds as the packs are made; they extend part-way along the packs and have their free ends joined by a weld (11). The surface (26) of one of the strips has a temporary adhesive coating which allows it to be stuck to the side of the pack and removed as required.
