Abstract (en)
The tile spacer consists of a cross (1) with one arm (3d) that can be detached so the spacer can be fitted at the edge of a tiled surface. The two arms (3a, 3c) adjacent to the detachable one have recesses which allow the detachable arm to be broken off cleanly, leaving no projecting material. The spacer has an additional projection (5) lying perpendicular to the cross to allow tiles on one surface to be aligned with those on a perpendicular surface, e.g. where wall meets floor. The additional projection has two parallel sides (5a) the same width as the arms of the cross, and two tapering sides (5b, 5b') forming a tip that can be used for minimal spacing.
Abstract (fr)
<IMAGE>
