Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19962034C1] The edge joint sealing device has a first barrier applied to the side edges of the relatively spaced glass panels (40,42) held between opposing support plates (9,15) and a second barrier (38) associated with the edge spacer (41) acting between the glass panels. The second barrier has a width which is greater than the relative spacing between the glass panels and is fitted by rotation about an axis parallel to the support plates and perpendicular to the edge spacer. The second barrier is provided by a number of individual sections entending transverse to the rotation axis.
