Abstract (en)
The power cylinder consists of a variable-volume working chamber (11) formed by a cylinder (2) and the end face (31) of a piston (3) with a rod (4), moved by a pressure fluid. The chamber contains a connector (5) providing an intermediate stop position for the piston, attached to a shuttle (8) held inside a housing (6) mounted on the end wall (21) of the cylinder and released to allow the piston to travel the full length of the cylinder. The shuttle is held in the housing by spring-loaded balls and released when the fluid pressure in the cylinder exceeds the effort of the spring (73).

L'invention concerne un vérin comprenant un piston (3) monté à coulissement dans un cylindre (2) entre une position de repos et une position extrême d'actionnement pour laquelle une tige d'actionnement (4) entraînée par le piston fait totalement saillie hors du cylindre. Pour définir une position d'arrêt de la tige, intermédiaire entre les positions de repos et d'actionnement, le piston (3) est relié par une ou plusieurs tiges de liaison (5) à une navette (8) maintenue dans un état de repos aussi longtemps que la tige ne dépasse pas sa position intermédiaire, et des organes de retenue axiale (7) sont prévus pour exercer sur la navette (8), dans son état de repos, une force de retenue axiale d'amplitude limitée s'opposant au déplacement de la navette (8) hors de son état de repos. <IMAGE>
