Abstract (en)
The projectile has a titanium guide band on its body (1) which supports a guide device (2). The union between the band and the body is by friction welding. The titanium content in the guide device and guide band is more than 90 per cent and further alloyed component parts have improved mechanical properties in relation to titanium. The ring-shaped guide band on its radially inwardly facing side has grooves.

Bei einem Geschoss ist ein auf einem Geschosskörper (1) angeordnetes Führungsmittel (2) tragendes Führungsband aus Titan gefertigt. Das Führungsband ist mit dem Geschosskörper (1) im Reibschweissverfahren verschweisst. Hierdurch wird beim Abschuss des Geschosses ein Eintrag von Kupfer in ein Geschützrohr und in die Umgebung vermieden. Das Geschoss lässt sich zudem besonders kostengünstig herstellen und erlaubt eine Leistungssteigerung aufgrund erhöhter Stabilität gegenüber dem beim Abschuss resultierenden Gasdruck. <IMAGE>
