[origin: EP1111644A1] The device has a pivoting plate linked to the contact carrier showing the status adjacent to the operating lever. The differential circuit breaker comprises a fixed contact (8) and a mobile contact (9) solidly attached to a pivoting contact carrier (10), with an operating lever (11). A set of levers (12,13,14) enable the contact to be reset by the operating lever (11) after tripping. The contact carrier (10) comprises a cut-away section (15) which supports an indicator (16) showing the status of the contacts, pivoting about a shaft (19). This includes a visible section (17) close to the top surface of the device. A spring mechanism engages a projecting section on the contact carrier in order open the contacts when the device is tripped.
