Abstract (en)
The folder for printed sheets (14) in motion comprises rotating blades (7, 8) which are inclined to each other to form a V-shaped gap. As the blades rotate they press against either side of the sheet to produce a central fold. Independent claims are included for: (a) a folding apparatus containing the folder; and (b) a rotary printing machine containing the folding apparatus.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum fortlaufenden Falzen von flachem Material (14), wie z.B. Signaturen (14), die in einer Rotationsdruckmaschine auf einer oder beiden Seiten bedruckt werden. Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung umfasst einen angetriebenen Rotationskörper (3), z.B. ein Zylinder, der senkrecht zu der Beförderungsrichtung (37) des flachen Materials (14), z.B. Signaturen, angeordnet ist. Der Zylinder (3) dreht sich um seine jeweilige Rotationsachse (2) und weist Oberflächenabschnitte (7, 8) auf, die jeweils seiner Peripherie zugeordnet sind und zueinander abflachend verlaufen bei Drehung des jeweiligen Zylinders (3). <IMAGE>
