Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0016952A1] The invention relates to a saw horse (10), comprising a supporting frame (12) and a clamping device (14). The clamping device (14) has an upper (38) and a lower clamping edge (42) arranged in two vertical planes which are horizontally displaced in relation to each other. The clamping edges are arranged in such a way that a work piece to be sawn (44) can be introduced between the upper (38) and lower clamping edge (42). Since the weight of the workpiece (44) is distributed unsymmetrically relative to the clamping edges (38, 42), the workpiece (44) is self-clamped between the clamping edges (38, 42). The saw horse comprises a securing device (16) consisting of the following parts: a bearing cable (58) for supporting the motor saw, a guide frame (56, 56) in which the bearing cable (58) is guided and can be moved in a longitudinal direction, a tensioning device for transmitting a tensile force to the longitudinally movable bearing cable (58) when the motor saw is lifted or lowered, and a friction brake (68) which is associated with bearing cable (58). The tensioning device comprises a counterweight (64) and a self-winding device for the bearing cable (58).
