[origin: DE19932763A1] The invention concerns a fuel injection valve comprising a fuel intake orifice, an actuating device (1, 2, 26, 35) capable of being energized, whereby a closure (21) can be moved, a fixed valve seat (32) formed on a valve seat element (29), seat wherewith the closure (21) co-operates to open and close the valve, a fuel outlet (33) located downstream of the valve seat (32), and a connecting part (16) in the form of a socket, having an inner longitudinal opening (18) and housing the valve seat element (29). The thin-walled connecting part (16) comprises recesses increasing its rigidity and preventing it from being deformed or ruptured by buckling, said recesses having the shape of longitudinal grooves (38). Said valve can in particular be used in fuel injecting systems for internal combustion engines with mixture compression and spark ignition.
