Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1114889A1] The working surface (1) of steel or stainless steel soleplate (2) is composed of crystal grains that are deformed by compression, applied perpendicular to the surface. The dislocation per unit volume is 40% greater on the surface than that in the interior of soleplate. An Independent claim is also included for process of treating metal soleplate.
