Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19835828C1] The invention relates to a method and device for removing flat packages from a pile, using a transfer device with a controllable transfer speed that transfers the packages to conveyor belts driven at a speed v0. Certain theoretical speed value levels are assigned to differences between actual gaps and desired gaps. Since the curve forms can be selected, it is possible to take drive ratios into account. In order to reach the desired gap at a speed v0 at the point where the packages are transferred to the conveyor belts, the theoretical speed level curves of the drive mechanism are assigned to real gaps on the basis of prior measurements. Non-linearities of the transfer function of the drive are detected by measurement-based tabular allocation of speed levels.
