Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0017121A1] Thermal insulation products are provided which comprise air-laid MMVF material through which particulate additive is distributed substantially homogeneously, and the particulate additive is selected from the group consisting of silicon, aluminium, mica, silica and titania. The additive particles are bonded to the surfaces of the MMV fibres by a binder. The product may be a granulated product but preferably comprises a layer which is an air-laid MMVF batt or batt stratum through which the additive is distributed. Improved thermal insulation ( lambda value) is obtained.
