[origin: WO0008242A1] The invention relates to a device for melt-spinning filaments into a thread consisting notably of polyester, polyamide, polypropylene or such like. Said device comprises a spinning nozzle arranged on a spinning head (2) from which the filaments can be transported via a cooling channel (4) into a collecting chamber (3). The thread constituted by the filaments can be moved through an oiling device (5) for improving its gliding friction properties. From the oiling device (5) the thread is moved to a treatment zone (16) and from there to a take-up spool (8). According to the invention the oiling device (5) is positioned in front of or inside the collecting chamber (3), in the direction of travel of the thread.
