[origin: WO0107989A1] A simple operation enables the transfer of mass data over a network, and provides an information transfer system employing a storage medium. First, a storage medium, which is possessed by the originator, is connected to a computer of the network. Then, information held by the storage medium, a fixed identifier for identifying a user, and a variable identifier for identifying information are transferred to a server computer of the network. Subsequently, the information, the fixed identifier, and the variable identifier are registered in a database of the server computer for a predetermined period of time. Subsequently, a second storage medium, the recipient, is connected by a computer of the network. Subsequently, the server computer allows the transfer of information to the second storage medium when the posted fixed identifier and the posted variable identifier match respectively with the fixed identifier and the variable identifier, which are registered by the originator.
