[origin: EP1116470A1] The suction head has a slide plate with a transverse suction opening, a suction channel with a hose connector, a vertically adjustable brush carrier and a vertically movable polishing plate. Elements for cleaning hard floors can be deployed by a control movement of the carrier. The polishing plate and brush carrier are mutually movable and the polishing plate can be deployed to polish smooth floors by a separate control movement. The suction head has an upper housing part (1) with a slide plate (2) with a transverse suction opening (3), a suction channel (4) with a hose connector(5), a brush carrier vertically adjustable on the upper housing part, a switch for operating the brush carrier and a polishing plate (7) vertically movable on the upper housing part. Elements for cleaning hard floors on the underside of the brush carrier can be deployed by a control movement of the brush carrier. The polishing plate and brush carrier are mutually relatively movable and the polishing plate can be deployed to polish smooth floors by a separate control movement.
