Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1116485A2] A pharmaceutical instant granulate based on carrier material granules coated with active substances has either sugar alcohols and soluble hydrocolloids as the carrier materials and is coated with active substance in a specific weight ratio and/or has one carrier material coated with a specific percentage of active substance and a second carrier material coated with remaining active substance and granulated. A pharmaceutical instant granulate comprises granules of at least two soluble carrier materials coated with at least one layer of a (preferably insoluble or difficultly soluble) active substance and has: A) at least one sugar alcohol, especially mannitol or sorbitol, and at least one soluble hydrocolloid, especially maltodextrin, as the carrier materials and 50-120 parts by weight, preferably 60-100 parts by weight, of active substance per part by weight carrier materials; and/or B) 50-80 wt.% of a first carrier material coated with a layer containing only part of the active substance and a second more soluble carrier material coated with the remaining active substance and granulated.
