[origin: WO9964135A1] A filter medium for a bag filter which can collect submicron particles such as those of dioxin under a high temperature condition and also allows the collected particles to be easily shaken down. A filter medium for a dust collector of a high temperature furnace unit which comprises a base cloth of a woven or knitted cloth made of a heat-resistant fiber and a felt layer comprising a fluororesin fiber, for example, a staple fiber of a polytetrafluoroethylene having a branch and/or a loop, characterized in that said fluororesin fiber layer constitutes at least one outermost layer of the filter medium. An intermediate layer comprising a heat-resistant fiber may be present between the base cloth and the outermost fluororesin fiber layer.
