[origin: DE19959669A1] At the location of transfer (5), the transfer components (6, 7) run at different speeds and are not pressed together; their spacing being than 50 mm. Preferred features: The transfer spacing is 0-35 mm. One transfer component (6) (at least) is a drying roller. One (7) is a band (4), preferably a drying screen. The component taking the transfer is a band with a suction component (8), preferably in the form of a roller with extraction. The band (4) is not wrapped around the roller at the transfer point. Both transfer components (6, 7) are bands which only run together over the shortest possible path. The first drying group has up to two, preferably one drying cylinder. The speed differential is 2.5%, preferably 0.5%-2%.
