[origin: EP1116844A2] The door has a frame (2) and a door, which is arranged between lower (3) and upper (4) guide rails. The door tips between a vertical closed position to a horizontal open position. The lower guide rail has a vertical lower section (33) and an upper (32) section, which moves to a space-saving transport position (41) when the door is to be transported. Fixing devices are provided to secure the upper section at the insertion position of the door in an operation position (41). The operation position enables an initial tipping of the door from the open to the closed position by exerting a closing force horizontally on the door. An Independent claim is included for a method to manufacture, transport and mounting a tilting door.
