Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1116851A2] The edge piece has a clamping holder section (6) that fits along the side edge of the windowsill and an L-shaped angle rail (1). The horizontal, upper, transverse leg (3) of the angle rail forms a cast edge (2). The angle rail has a second free leg (4) that projects downwards to enclose the windowsill. The angle rail is connected to the holder section by a flexible section (5) that is springy in the insertion direction. The edge piece is made in one piece from sheet metal in a multistage bending, rolling and deep-drawing process. A water collection chamber (15) is arranged under the holder section.
