[origin: DE19936533A1] The invention relates to a high pressure reservoir for fuel for a common-rail fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine. Said reservoir comprises a tube-shaped base body (1) which is provided with a blind hole (2) extending in the longitudinal direction and several connections (10 to 13). The aim of the invention is to improve the high pressure consistency and to prolong service life of the high pressure reservoir for fuel. To this end, a locking plug (6) is arranged in the closed end of the blind hole (2).
