[origin: DE19843616A1] The invention relates to a fuel injection nozzle for injecting fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. The inventive injection nozzle comprises a nozzle body (12) which has a tip (10) with a radially peripheral series of injection holes (14) and a nozzle needle (20), said nozzle needle being arranged in the nozzle body (12) in such a way that it is axially displaceable. A cone (22) on the tip of the nozzle needle (20) selectively frees and blocks the passage of fuel to the injection holes (14). The nozzle body (12) of the injection nozzle has a cylindrical recess (30) inside the tip (10) in the area of the injection holes (14).
