Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19845123A1] The invention relates to a device for establishing a galvanically separate connection between a telephone line and a signal processing unit at the subscriber end of the telephone line. The device comprises a first circuit which is connected to the telephone line, a second circuit connected to the signal processing unit and a transformer having a first and a second winding. The first winding is connected to the first circuit and the second winding to the second circuit and the first and second windings are galvanically separated. The device is characterized in that the first circuit comprises a four-wire terminating set for separating the signals of the telephone line into a first signal path running from the telephone line towards the signal processing unit and a second signal path running from the signal processing unit towards the telephone line.
