[origin: EP1118294A2] The seat (10) has a frame (12), back-rest (18), seat cushion (16) and leg-rest (28) which is connected by a slidable lattice gate (22) to the seat cushion. The seat surface is extended by the leg-rest and have continuous upholstery (40). When the leg-rest is folded out from its used position beneath the seat cushion, the length of the section of upholstery joining the seat cushion and leg-rest is a layout of the curved part of the upholstery at the elastic join (42), connecting the seat cushion to the leg-rest when the leg-rest is folded in.
