Abstract (en)
The water outlet siphon (4) in the bottom of a refrigerated cabinet (1) has a U-bend to restrict noise and temperature loss, normally filled with defrost water during use. Initial filling with water is necessary before the first defrost cycle. The outlet opening (8) of the siphon is plugged with a water-soluble disc (9) or a fibre plug which is destroyed by the ultimate defrost water during normal operation of the cabinet.

Es wird ein Siphon (4), insbesondere für ein zumindest teilweise gekühltes Warenpräsentationsmöbel, beschrieben. Erfindungsgemäß weist der Siphon (4) einen wasserlöslichen Verschluß (9) auf. Dieser kann als ein wasserlösliches Faserflies oder als ein wasserlöslicher, tablettenformartiger Verschluß (9) ausgebildet sein. Ferner kann der Siphon (4) zumindest teilweise mit einer Isolierung (5A,5B), vorzugsweise einem Schaumstoff, insbesondere einem Schaumstoffschlauch versehen sein.
