Abstract (en)
The support consists of a hollow mast (1) with two or more holes (4, 5, 6) through it in separate planes (P, P') lying perpendicular to the mast's vertical axis (Y), so that a supporting arm inserted through opposite holes in the two planes is held in place by gravity alone. The holes can be fitted with grommets to improve the mechanical anchoring of the arm and form a seal. In variants of the design the mast can have holes all the way up to allow several supporting arms to be fitted in different positions, and the arms can be replaced by loops of cable passed through the holes and fastened to blocks inside the mast.

Dispositif de support pour drapeaux, pavillons ou panneaux souples analogues comportant un mât (1) ou élément similaire d'axe vertical (Y), au moins une potence (2) sur laquelle est attaché un bord supérieur d'un drapeau (3) ou panneau analogue, et au moins deux orifices (4) pratiqués sur une surface extérieure dudit mât (1) caractérisé en ce que ladite potence réalisée en matière flexible coopère avec deux des orifices (4) qui sont situés dans deux plans (P et P') passant chacun par un centre de l'un desdits deux orifices (4), perpendiculaires à l'axe vertical (Y) dudit mât et strictement parallèles entre eux, pour permettre son ancrage mécanique dans le mât (1) sous la seule action de la gravité. <IMAGE>
