Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9965653A1] A punching unit is included in a machine for manufacturing blanks, in particular corrugated fibreboard or paperboard. The unit comprises means (16) for feeding blanks (15) between two rotatable rolls, one of which (2) is provided with punching tools whereas the other (6) serves as a punching die. The tool roll is provided with means (3) which allow the punching tools to be mounted in desired positions on the roll. The punching unit comprises at least two tool rolls (1, 2) and means (11, 7, 8) for making an optional roll take a working position adjacent to the die roll (6) while at the same time the other takes a ready position, in which it is accessible to mounting of punching tools. Moreover, means (20) are included for temporary locking of the tool rolls in the positions taken, which locking is easily releasable for changing the positions of the rolls.
