Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0021827A1] The invention concerns a modular structure for premises, in particular for onboard naval use, and a corresponding method for making and assembling such a modular structure. The invention is related to the field of modular premises designed to be mounted in ships or buildings. The aim is to provide a range of standardised and modular premises in terms of dimensions, shape and equipment, while reducing direct production costs, and indirect assembling costs on the shipbuilding yard. The inventive prefabricated structure is of the type forming an enclosed space at least partly closed provided with access points and comprising dedicated equipment. It is characterised in that it is formed from a sealed bottom supporting case (10), formed by at least one rigidified element, and forming a support structure for said dedicated equipment and side walls (15, 16) and roof elements (17-21) of said premises, and said case (10) has a lateral edge (11) all around its periphery, a cutout for adding a utility shaft (26) extending vertically along the walls (15, 16) and means for draining fluids up to a discharge orifice (12).
