Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2784392A1] Detergent-descaling tablets contain compacted sodium tripolyphosphate particles with a high phase I content and a homogeneous water content The tablets comprise compacted sodium tripolyphosphate (NaTPP) particles with high phase I content and water homogeneously distributed within. The sodium tripolyphosphate (A) present in a tablet (or a part of a tablet) contains: (i) 70-100 (preferably 80-98) wt.% of phase I relative to all anhydrous sodium tripolyphosphate phases; and (ii) 7-16 (preferably 8-12) wt.% of water, of which at least 50% (preferably 70-90%) is in the form of crystallization water. An Independent claim is also included for a process of preparing the tablets by press-molding a composition containing the different components of the tablets.
