[origin: FR2784447A1] Fabric sleeve (1) for a rubber tube (4), comprises a heat recoverable interlaced strands (2, 3) forming an elastically deformable tubular structure. The strands comprise monofilament(s) (2) and multifilament yarn(s) (3). Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) production of a rubber tube protected by a fabric sleeve, comprising extrusion of a rubber tube, shaping of the tube, fitting of the fabric sleeve, the diameter of the sleeve being slightly greater than the diameter of the rubber tube, vulcanization of the tube covered by the fabric sleeve, causing heat recovery of the fabric sleeve; and (b) a rubber hose or coupling formed by a rubber tube covered by a fabric sleeve.
