[origin: DE19846188A1] The invention relates to a friction vacuum pump (1) which is provided with a stator (3) comprising a set of stator blades which consists of several rows of stator blades. The pump is also provided with a rotor, comprising a set of rotor blades which consists of several rows of rotor blades. Once mounted and ready for operation, the rows of stator blades and the rows of rotor blades intermesh. According to the invention, the blades of one of these sets of blades are provided with slots (61) in order to enable production of such a pump (1) using substantially fewer parts. The arrangement, depth and width of said slots are chosen in such a way that the stator (9) and rotor (8) can be screwed together and unscrewed as required.
